Featuring a horizontal wood ply orientation, the Horizon’s sound is distinct among the many snares we carry here at Sweetwater. Its primary maple construction yields a wonderfully robust attack, with an inner ply of mahogany that adds some depth and warmth to its overall character. Its attack is also quite dry with a short attack time, but make no mistake: the Horizon isn’t short on tone. In addition to the richness of its maple/mahogany tonewoods, the Horizon also features Noble & Cooley’s symmetrical venting system, which enables enhanced airflow compared to typical drums with only one venting hole.
